Brownsword Hall, Poundbury, Dorset

poundbury
poundbury

This project was completed during 2006 in Poundbury, the urban extension to Dorchester which is the brainchild of HRH Prince Charles. designed by John Simpson the Hall is the centre piece of the "new" village. The hall experienced severe reverberation problems, which Ashdown Architects of Dorchester were commissioned to rectify, and our system was specified. Particular care of the timber beams had to be exercised during the spraying process. The result is very pleasing and effective. A local business, Smart Ideas, ran reverberation tests after the installation which can be viewed below. Prince Charles and many of the local groups using the hall have already benefited from the "new" acoustic envelope. See "What people say" in the "About us" section.
